WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO COME TO MONGOLIA?
May to September is the best season; peak season is in July for the Naadam Traditional Festival and August. The best time to visit the Gobi is June or September and Western Mongolia-Altai Mountains is July, August and September.
HOW DI I GET TO MONGOLIA?
All direct flights come into Ulaanbaatar –from Beijing, Moscow, Seoul or Berlin. The Trans-Mongolian train from Moscow and Beijing (Perkin) makes a particularly exhilarating entry into the country. There are domestic flights and trains from Ulaanbaatar to the rest of Mongolia.
Mongolian airline - MIAT (Mongolian Civil Air Transportation), Korean Air, Aeroflot-Russian airline and Air China. They operate year-round direct flights from Berlin, Moscow, Seoul, Beijing and Tokyo. We can advise on the best routes and schedules, also we can book a cheap tickets for international travel to Mongolia. Main Airport in Ulaanbaatar, Chinggis Khaan International Airport where is located 15km (9 miles) from the city centre. Journey time to city centre is about 30 minutes.
There are several international road links: If you are planning to drive through Russia, there are two border entries into Mongolia.
Western border of Mongolia-Tsagaannuur is linked by Russian motorway M52 via Russian village Kosh-Agach and Tashanta.
Tsagaannuur border is located in the far west of Mongolia in Bayan-Olgii province and open Mon-Sat 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm. This gives the best choice of off road routes across Mongolia. From Tsagaannur to Ulaanbataar, You will drive around 1600km of unpaved road, mountains, valleys, rivers, deserts and plenty of wildlife.
Northern border of Mongolia-Altanbulag is linked via Irkutsk (East Siberia) to Ulaanbaatar.
Altanbulag is located in the north of Mongolia. The road from Altanbualag to Ulaanbaatar is paved road. The road isn't good but it is paved and around 380 km. If you arriving from China, there is one main border entry into Mongolia.
Soutern border-Zamiin Uud is linked by Chinese motorway via Chinese village Erlian. The road is around 700km with unpaved and some paved.
Travellers are not normally allowed to enter Mongolia by road without a permission obtained from the Mongolian authorities in a advance.

Ulaanbaatar is linked to the Russian Federation and China by the Trans-Siberian Railway. An express train runs between Moscow, Ulaanbaatar and Beijing. This is the most exciting way to arrive in Ulaanbaatar.

DO I NEED A MONGOLIAN VISA?
Mongolian Tourist visa
Check the current validity of your passport. All travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Mongolia. However, we strongly recommend traveling with 6 months validity on your passport at all times. Make sure your passport has blank Visa pages. Mongolia require that you have adequate un-used pages in your passport, allowing for any necessary stamps upon arrival and departure. We recommend that you have at least two free pages in Visas section of your passport before international travel.
MONGOLIAN ENTRY VISAS:
Mongolian tourist visas are issued for a maximum period of 30 days within a period of three months. If you want to stay in Mongolia longer than 30 days, Mongolian tourist visa can be extended on further application by an additional 30 days. For Tourist Visas for 30 day, it is generally required to submit following documentation:
1. Passport with a validity date at least 3-6 months beyond the end of the applications intended period of stay in Mongolia.
2. Completed visa Application Form for Tourists with one passport size photo
3. Visa fee
4. Tour booking confirmation or invitation letter from us
MONGOLIAN TRANSIT VISAS:
Adventurous who are travelling by train from Moscow to Beijing, going through Mongolia need a transit visa. A transit visa allows for you to simply ride the train through Mongolia, without any opportunity to do any sightseeing in UB. To stop over in Ulan Bator, Mongolia's capital, a Mongolian entry visa is needed. Russian, Chinese visas and train tickets through Mongolia are needed in obtaining a Mongolian transit visa.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
You will never travel without adequate travel insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance is an essential part of your travel package. We recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel and health insurance before travelling to Mongolia.
DO I NEED VACCINATION?
There are no specific vaccinations that are legally required for entry to Mongolia. However we recommended the following vaccinations for this holiday. Hepatitis and Rabies? Check the website of a reputable travel agency or the foreign office website more details. And please consult your doctor or travel clinic for the latest up to date advice.
Most tours are based on sharing twin bedded rooms in accommodation which could be hotels and traditional ger tourist camps. During any trips around the country, you will be camping in tents or in traditional Mongolian ger. We provide all the necessary camping equipments: You may need to bring sleeping bag, sleeping mat and other personal gear.On some tours you may be expected to erecrt your own tent.
Most of our tours organized on a tourist camp and tent. Every tour is different and each night stop could be different. Meals will be based around beef, mutton, rice and noodles, egg, cheese, clotted cream, milk, yogurt, canned foods .Wherever possible we will encourage travelers to sample the cuisine in local restaurant. In Ulaanbaatar there are lots of choices of Restaurants, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Korean etc. Please let us to know in advance if you are a vegetarian. Special dietary requirements on tour: whenever meals are icluded as part of the tour, we endeavour to cater vegetarians and other dietary requirements. However, we ask that customers have realistic expectations in this respect. In Mongolia, there is a limited choice of some food available. So please let us your dietary requirements before coming in Mongolia.

Mongolia is cash based society. US Dollars and traveler’s cheques can be easily cashed and converted to Local currency –Tugrik. The American Express, Visa and Master Card acceptable in hotels and banks. There are no branches of International Bank. However international bank wire transfers are possible. Money Gram.
