This is a journey to the wild and remote Altai Tavan Bogd mountains of the Mongol Altai Mountain Range which lies on the border with both Russia and China, some 2000 kilometres (1250 miles) in the far west of the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. The Tavan Bogd (Holy Five Peaks) highest and most spectacular peaks in Mongolia. The massif is made up of five peaks Khuiten (meaning cold) at 4374m/14.350ft, Naran, Olgii, Burged and Malchin (4082m/13.392ft also it is called Nairamdal-Friendship). Meaning the 5 Kings it comprises of five neighboring peaks. Tavanbogd is one of Mongolia's permanently covered with snow and large glaciers including Potanin’, Aleksandra and Graneg glacier. Day 1: Arrival to Ulaanbaatar, guided city tour
Upon arrival at the Ulaanbaatar airport, you will be met by your guide and driver and transferred to your hotel. Ulaanbaatar is a very rapidly growing and developing city with a population of nearly a million people. Your hotel is located downtown of UB and just within walking distance from main square- Sukhbaatar Square, museums, theatres, and shops. Depending on an arrival time, you may enjoy a short city orientation tour before dinner. Sightseeing of UB, including the Natural History Museum with 16 m long 70 million year old skeleton of a Tarbosaur, Gandan Monastry - Mongolia's Buddist centre, the Green Palace of the Mongolian last king Bogd Javzandamba. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Flight to Western Mongolia
Arrive in Ulaangom where capital city in Uvs province. Here we will meet our driver. He will take us into mountain by 4WD vehicles for starting point of cycling where is a view of a 3496m high glaciated peak of the Tsagaan Shuvuut Mt. Assemble and prepare the bikes. Landscape is snow capped peaks and alpine lakes.
Day 3: Bike to Uureg Lake
The ake is situated 100km from Ulaangom and located in between Tsagaanshuvut and Turgen mountains of Sagil and Turgen soums in 1426 above see level.Uureg Lake is 42m deep and its surface is 237sqkm. The lake is fed mainly by the Kharig River from Russia. There are meadows on the northwestern side of the lake. There are two small barren rocky islands in the lake. Here you can see numbers of birds. The lake is surrounded by semi-desert and arid desert steppe vegetation. The main land use for livestock grazing. can visit local nomads. Uureg lake andThe lake is very suitable to swimm in sunny days.
Day 4: Bike to Achit lake
Bike to Achit lake. Achit Lake is freshwater shallow lake in the Hovd River basin. It is one of the important place for waterbirds for breeding and resting. Waterfowl, waders and other mountain steppe birds
Day 5: Bike to Siylhemiin Nuruu mountain range/ Khar Yamaat River

Day 8: Bike to base camp of Altai Tavan Bogd Peaks
wake to the unfamiliar sound of Mongolia’s famous Bactrian camels (two humps) that will be awaiting our gear for the carry into base camp on the edge of the Potaniin Glacier. This is a beautiful 15kms cycle offering great views of the glacier and the peaks stretching beyond.
Day 9: Acclimatisation Walk to around 3500m / climbe Nairamdal Peak
A much shorter walk of 2-3 hrs soon gets us on to the summit Mt Nairamdal (4000m) and the opportunity to visit three countries. The summit lies on the triple border of Russia, China and Mongolia giving it a unique feel. In the afternoon we practice roping up for glacial travel.
Day 10: Bike to Tsagaan Gol River (White Water River)
visit to local herding family and experience nomadic life and traditions as well as sample their home made yoghurt, cheese and sip of milk vodka.
Day 11: Bike to Sogoot river valley,
traditional summer camp of Kazakh tribesmen.
Day 12: Drive in Olgii town
the provincial capital of Bayan-Olgii
A museum of Kazakh traditions, local bazaar and Mosque are the main attractions.
Day 13: Drive to Lake Tolbo and bike to Doroo lake

Day 14: Bike to Deluun valley
It is beautiful valley with River Deluun and Buyant. good place for fishing
Day 15: Bike to Burgedtei Valley (Eagle Valley) and Ar Khujirt Mountain.
It is the summer pasture of the Altai Uraankhai herders. One of the minority ethnic groups in Mongolia, the Uraankhai people will welcome you and you can join them in yak milking, sheep herding, horse care, taste their home made yoghurt and brew traditional vodka. Take a rest in a Mongolian Ger, ( traditional accommodation of the Mongolians and known as a 'yurt' in Central Asia. It is a round felt tent with a single room in which the family cooks, eats and sleeps).
Day 16: Bike to provincial capital of Hovd
Arrive in Hovd, take rest at our Western Mongolia Rally Camp,hot showers, hearty Mongolian food, free wireless internet, here you will meet Mongol Rally adventurists who are staying in our camp, drink icy cold beer and chat them.
Day 17: Flight to Ulaanbaatar
check in hotel and evening free to enjoy the Ulaanbaatar nightlife.
Day 18: Free day in Ulaanbaatar
you will have a free day to explore Ulaanbaatar. A city of museums, galleries, history, shops, national folklore concert and bars

We require a completed booking form and a non refundable deposit of $250 per person in order to confirm your spot on the tour. Booking confirmation will be send to you Confirmation invoice and payment of the balance of the tour price. Travel is within 60 days of booking. Full payment is required.
We do not accept a booking until we receive a booking form and deposit.
The balance of all monies due must be paid to the Company no later than 9 weeks before your departure. If booking is made within 60 weeks, then the full amount is payable at the time your booking is confirmed. In the case of nonpayment of the balance by the due date, the Company reserves right to cancel your booking and cancellation charges will apply.
If the Client wishes to cancel, cancellation charge will be imposed. These are calculated from the day written notification is received by the company. Any cancellation by the client must be made in writing.
